Lived in CT all my life been to Lenny's over 100 times absolutely love this place all seasons great and I do mean the best seafood ever. However I moved to Florida left family, friends everything. But I still come North for a Lenny's fix. See you soon guys, get the lobster, scallops and whole bellies ready bringing my appetite and friends. Happy Holiday.

Honestly, the biggest problem was the entree was too big! I was doing an overnight and couldn't bring the fries with me. Also, the popularity of the ice cream and lack thereof for me also made me sad. Anyway, there is outdoor parking and the lot is huge. The lot was also very full, I was lucky to find a spot close to the door. The interior was very wood, and I was offered to eat outside by the musician. I went for inside because I could use the light after all that driving. The lobster bisque was a good consistency and real lobster! Very tasty. The local oyster also delicious, very chilled. The fried clams had a great crunch and good coating, and even though I enjoyed the fries, I couldn't take them. Sigh. But overall I had a fantastic meal. Everything was clean, including the restroom. The waitress was trying not to show she was moving people along, but it was also near close so I admire her patience and good manners.

My friends and I visited on a weeknight. We ordered stuffed clams, clam chowder and lobster bisque as appetizers. The stuffed clams were ok. My friends seemed to enjoy their soups. We each ordered a different entree and shared an order of onion rings, which were good. I ordered the fried seafood platter. Breading was a bit heavy on the clam strips and scallops were a bit briny, but overall good and was a nice portion served with french fries. Coleslaw and tartar sauce were tasty as well. Waitress was unremarkable. No personality whatsoever. If able to give half stars, this would be a solid 3.5.

A delightful Fall day to sit on the deck and enjoy some fresh seafood. We shared a plate of whole belly clams, fries and coleslaw. The serving was plenty for two . It was lightly breaded and delicately seasoned. The clams were the best we have had all season The fries were also hand cut and delicious. Perfect lunch

I love seafood and Lenny's Indian head inn is one of the best places to eat seafood in Connecticut. Their lobster dinner is a spectacular find. It's priced according to Market and include a large lobster. I like to start a lobster dinner with steamed fresh clams and sometimes they're delicious lobster bisque. The strawberry shortcake makes a great dessert if you have any room left. The fried clams are really good, as are the onion rings (which are flat out spectacular). The fish dinners are wonderful. The servers are a mix of seasoned veterans and younger folks, both groups hustle and provide good service. The ambience is New England seafood House and the deck is especially nice for alfresco dining.

The only thing I will add is that Lenny's offers a key lime pie for $10, which is on the pricey side. That aside, it is not pie, but key lime pie filling in a short tower with cake. Was it good? Yes. Would I have ordered it had I known in advance that it was not a piece of pie. No..... pie has crust!

Connecticut Shoreline Institution Always great service and fresh seafood Live music on the deck and cold drinks at the boat bar Ownership and staff do a great job and have been since 1968

The quintessential New England Lobster restaurant! My wife and I stopped by on a beautiful early Summer's eve and ate out on the deck with some great local musicians playing. Lively and fun atmosphere! We both loved the "Lenny's Lemonade". My wife and I shared a bowl of lobster bisque while waiting at the bar for our table. Probably the best I've ever had (& I've had a lot). Perfectly seasoned with the just right amount of sherry and a plethora of lobster claw meat. After being seated we had their Clams Casino which was classically prepared with a nice slice of bacon atop very fresh clams - absolutely delicious! My wife had the Seafood Casserole and I the Hot Lobster Roll. Both were phenomenal. The casserole consisted of huge, again very fresh, scallops, shrimp and a lobster tail covered with pepper jack cheese and bread crumbs then broiled in a ceramic boat - simple and excellent! My hot lobster roll was basically a pile of lobster meat on a great roll served open-faced with drawn butter and awesome fries! So darn good I almost had to cry! We rounded out this outstanding dinner with a three layer Key-lime cake. Just delicious and a great way to end a fantastic seafood meal! We will definitely be back again and again! Service was quick and attentive. If you want to get some really good, classic, fresh down to earth seafood in a fun atmosphere - go to Lenny's!!
